MU-27103
The MU-27103 is an industrial safety helmet made from HDPE (high-density polyethylene), fitted with a 6-point nylon suspension that provides improved impact resistance. It is lightweight and easy to wear, and is available in a variety of colors to suit different sites and teams.
The 6-point suspension design, together with four pointed cones at each junction between the suspension ring and the shell, absorbs part of the energy when an impact occurs, giving the wearer greater impact protection. The helmet has no exposed metal parts and is supplied without ventilation. An optional MU-28101 chin strap is available to hold the helmet more securely. Made in Taiwan.
When an impact occurs, the 6-point suspension and the four pointed cones at each ring-and-shell junction absorb part of the force, helping limit the impact force transmitted to the head to no more than 5 kN. This performance follows the European industrial safety helmet test method, in which a standard 5kg striker is dropped from a height of 1000mm onto the helmet.
The helmet is designed to provide adequate protection for the wearer and to help prevent injury from a piercing striker. This follows the European industrial safety helmet test method, in which a standard 3kg piercing striker is dropped from a height of 1000mm onto the helmet.
An optional MU-28101 chin strap helps keep the helmet firmly in place and reduce the risk of injury to the wearer. To prevent the chin strap from loosening prematurely or tightening around the head, the strap is designed not to release or break below 150N, and to loosen or release between 150N and 250N.
