Collapsible Traffic Cones
MUSSE collapsible traffic cones fold flat onto their own base and pop back up in one motion, which makes them the practical choice where storage space decides what a vehicle can carry: roadside assistance vans, fleet and taxi boot kits, police and fire response units, car parks and event marshalling.
The cone body is waterproof fluorescent fabric over a collapsing frame, seated on a moulded ABS base. The reflective banding is made from material carrying a CE certificate for the tape. Both the apex and the inside of the base are pre-formed to accept a small warning light, so a cone can be upgraded to an active night-time marker without any modification.
Six heights, all measured to the top of the erected cone:
Standard colours are orange, yellow, green and blue. Colour-coding by department or by hazard type is common in fleet and municipal orders, and custom colours are available on OEM runs.
Collapsible cones are built for temporary and emergency control rather than long-duration highway works. For fixed lane closures, roadworks and higher-speed applications, our rigid ranges carry the mass and the standardised dimensions those jobs require: PVC Traffic Cones, PE Traffic Cones, Traffic Cones with Black Base and Traffic Cone Bars.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are these collapsible cones CE certified?
The cone itself is not certified to a CE product standard. What carries a CE certificate is the reflective tape material used for the banding. We state this precisely because buyers importing into the EU are often required to document the basis of any CE claim, and a component certificate is not a product certificate. Full material documentation for the tape is supplied on request.
Q: Which height should we specify for roadside assistance kits?
The 45 cm and 55 cm models are the usual choice for breakdown and recovery vehicles: tall enough to be seen over a stopped car, small enough that several fit in a boot alongside the rest of the kit. The 30 cm model suits car parks, warehouses and indoor marshalling. The 70 cm model is the most visible of the range and is normally ordered where the cone has to work against faster-moving traffic.
Q: How do the cones collapse and how much space do they save?
The fabric body concertinas down onto the ABS base and is held flat; releasing it lets the cone spring back to full height in one motion. Collapsed, a cone is roughly the height of its own base moulding, so a set stacks into a fraction of the volume that rigid cones of the same height would occupy. No tools and no assembly are involved.
Q: Can the cones take a warning light, and what are the OEM options?
Yes. Both the apex and the inside face of the base are formed to accept a small warning light, so the cone can be fitted as an active marker for night work. On OEM orders we can supply custom body colours, printed or woven branding on the fabric, and specific banding layouts. Tell us the target market and the intended application and we will quote against your volume.
